New Building

This Project comprised the construction of a new timber framed single storey building to provide new teaching facilities for nursery aged children.

The new facility provided the following accommodation:

• Large open plan teaching space with a purpose made circular seating area
• Staff & children WC’s
• Kitchenette with laundry facilities
• Secure store room
• Secure external play area

With use of rooflights and a large folding sliding door system across the rear elevation of the building, a high level of natural light was brought into all areas of the new facility.

Externally, the building was clad using Kebony timber cladding. Soft play surfacing was laid beneath a large canopy which provided covered outdoor learning space, this area is accessed directly from the classroom through a folding sliding door system.

The Contract was completed on programme with a duration of 10 weeks.
